Opids Camp received more than 13 inches in 24 h in the So Cal gullywasher of a week ago with another UNUSUALLY strong storm onsetting in that region today. Also, the 9.78 inches at Mt. Charleston, west of Las Vegas, in that earlier storm was the greatest 24 h amount ever measured in the state of Nevada. I think some northern Cal ski areas, since these are very cold storms, have opened on their earliest dates ever after the 1.5 to 4 feet received last week with 1-2 more predicted in this current blast.
